Roberts Maine Grill:
326 Route 1, Kittery Family friendly spot with great seafood, salads, burgers and a large raw bar. Barnacle Billy’s: Perkins Cove, Ogunquit A “must do”! There are 2 restaurants side by side. One offers a more varied menu including fried foods while the other is counter service and specializes in boiled lobsters and steamers (although they also have burgers, hot dogs and barbequed chicken for non-seafood lovers). The food is consistently good and the view is incredible! Both are family friendly. Jackie’s Too: Perkins Cove, Ogunquit Another family friendly spot with an incredible view. Delicious seafood, salad and sandwiches. The lobster bisque is not to be missed. The Goldenrod: York Beach Located right in York just steps from Short Sands is this iconic restaurant/soda fountain and candy store. They serve breakfast all day long and have delicious sandwiches. Stop by to watch them make salt water candy, get some ice cream and check out the penny candy counter. Union Bluff Hotel: York Beach This hotel has two small restaurants, one is more high-end and the other is a pub. We are big fans of the pub! They have delicious seafood, burgers, salads and other standard pub fare. It is fairly small and tends to get busy, but you can sit outside with a great view of Short Sands beach while you wait. York Harbor Inn: York Harbor Like the Union Bluff Hotel, this Inn has two restaurants, and upstairs dining area that is more upscale and a downstairs pub that features great flatbread pizzas, lobster rolls and burgers. Fox’s Lobster House: York Beach This restaurant is located right at the Nubble Light House and features delicious fried seafood and lobsters. You can eat in the inside dining area or outside on the picnic tables. It’s a bit pricey but very casual and the fried scallops are the best around! Dunne’s Ice Cream: York Beach (just past the Nubble) This is the best ice cream around with tons of flavors! They bought out the old Brown’s Ice Cream and the recipes are still the same. Beach Pea Baking Co.: Kittery This cozy bakery & cafe offers sweets, sandwiches, soups & salads, including vegetarian/vegan options. You cannot beat their breads and baked goods (definitely treat yourself to an éclair!). Locos Coco’s Taco’s: Kittery This fun Mexican place has fantastic food and incredible margheritas! Very casual. If you feel like take-out….. Anthony’s Food Shop: Rt 1 York I know it’s a gas station, but trust me, they have fantastic pizza, sandwiches, wings and baked treats. They will even deliver it right to the house. It’s a definite go to for us! Green Leaves Chinese Restaurant: Rt 1 York All the standard favorites and they also have a sushi bar |

Ogunquit This is an absolute must! This small cove has wonderful shops and restaurant. In addition, it’s the start of the Marginal Way, which is a 1 ¼ mile walk (you don’t have to do it all) featuring the most gorgeous views of the ocean that the area has to offer. Bring a book and just hang out on one of the many benches. You can also take a trolley from the cove to the center of Ogunquit where you’ll find many more shops and restaurants. World Within Kayak Rentals: Wells This is a great place to rent Kayaks and paddleboards. It is a beautiful, peaceful spot that is great for kids, beginners and more experienced people alike. They make it incredibly easy. Just pull into the back of the Ogunquit River Inn on Rt 1 and the staff will get you right out on the water. Just call the morning you want to go (207-646-0455) and you will hear a recording of the hours they are open that day as they change with the tides. Wonder Mountain Fun Park: Wells This is a great place to take the kids for an afternoon of fun! They have 2 - 18 hole mini-golf courses, an arcade and go karts. York’s Wild Kingdom: York Beach This small amusement park and zoo located right in York Beach is a great way to spend a few hours with young kids. Fun Town Splash Town: Saco This is a great day trip!
